TESTING LANES

Each of the four sites in Hadath, Mejdlaya, Ghazieh and Zahle consists of Car testing lanes, Truck testing lanes, 4-Wheel drive vehicles testing lanes, and Motorcycles testing lanes.

A car test lane consists of four sections:

Section 1:
A vehicle is tested for gas emission, headlights intensity / direction and superstructure visual inspection.
Section 2:
A vehicle is tested for sideslip, and shock absorbers.
Section 3:
A vehicle is tested for brakes force.
Section 4:
A vehicle is tested for axle play, and using a pit/pit lift for vehicle infrastructure visual inspection.

A truck test lane consists of three sections:

Section 1:
A vehicle is tested for gas emission, and headlights intensity / direction and superstructure visual inspection.
Section 3:
A vehicle is tested for brakes force {vehicles weighting up to 18 tons unloaded).
Section 4:
A vehicle is tested for axle play, and using a pit/pit lift for vehicle infrastructure visual inspection.

A motorcycle is tested on one section : for brakes force and visual inspection


The inspection centers capacities are as follows:

Hadath center : 20 lanes : 16 lanes for cars, 4 lanes for trucks, 2 lanes for motorcycles and repeat lanes.

Ghazieh center : 6 lanes : 4 lanes for cars, 1 lane for trucks, 1 lane for motorcycles and repeat lanes.

Mejdlaya center : 4 lanes : 2 lanes for cars, 1 lane for trucks, 1 lane for motorcycles and repeat lanes.

Zahle center : 4 lanes : 2 lanes for cars, 1 lane for trucks, 1 lane for motorcycles and repeat lanes.
